Day - 1 -- » Kolkatta - Basanti Port - Sundarbans National Park
The day is fantastic as you leave the hustling-bustling Kolkatta by car, drive for three hours to reach Basanti Port. The scenic countryside of Bengal is only prelude to what lies ahead. At Gosaba, you will embark on the boat launch, which will soon be followed by a short local cycle-rickshaw ride to the main entrance of much-famous Sunderbans forests. Know for dense mangrove forests, Sunderbans is home to amazing. You will pay an afternoon visit to the forest museum and be at leisure in the evening. You will spend the night right in the heart of these jungles, at the Sunderbans forest lodge.
Day - 2 -- » Sunderbans National Park
Start early on this precious and exciting day by having a light breakfast before you start your wildlife tour. A full-day cruise through the creeks of dense mangroves allows you to observe birds and animals from close. The highlights of the forests that you will visit include Pakhiralya, Sudhanyakhali and Netidhopani Watch Towers. In the evening, an entertainment show is organized featuring the famous Kolkatta song ‘Banbibi Pala’ or local religious songs. Another night halt at the forest lodge with a sumptuous dinner keeps you comfortable and lets you views and sounds of deep forests for some more time.
Day - 3 -- » Sunderbans National Park - Basanti Port - Kolkatta
Early in the morning, you will visit the nearby village of Rangabelia known for the rural development project being operated here by the Tagore Society. You will be driven back to Kolkatta after lunch.
