Madhya Pradesh Eco-tourism Development Board to launch a new cruise in Tawa river
19th May 2011 In order to promote water-based tourism in Madhya Pradesh, the Madhya Pradesh Eco-tourism Development Board (MPEDB) has procured a new cruise boat with a capacity of 10 passengers, which, according to MPEDB sources, will be deployed for cruising in Tawa river. The Board is likely to commence this cruise in the first week of June 2011.
The cruise will take tourist from Tawa River and go to Madhai where Satpura National Park is located. The main focus of the tour is to provide tourists with opportunities for bird watching, crocodile sightings and visit Satpura National Park.
The main aim of launching this new cruise is to promote water-based tourism in the region and in the state and attract good number of domestic and international tourists for cruising. Moreover, MPEDB expects that the cruise service will be availed by the international and domestic travelers staying with the forest lodges in the periphery of the Satpura National Park as well.
