Kanpur-Kolkata air service to begin from May 24, 2011

Delhi-Kanpur-Kolkata air service will start from May 24, 2011 after its launch was postponed due to the West Bengal elections, according to a PTI report. Earlier it was scheduled to start from April 27, 2011 but was postponed as the election commission has not given its assent due to the West Bengal assembly elections then .

"The flight service from Kanpur to Kolkata will start from May 24, and Vayalar Ravi, Minister of Civil Aviation, Govt of India will inaugurated this service," Sriprakash Jaiswal, Union Coal Minister and MP from Kanpur said.
