Air India to offer more flights from Middle East
13th Dec 2010 According to a PTI report, Middle East being one of the largest and most important markets for Air India, it is planning to offer flights from the Gulf region to places like South East Asia, Kathmandu, Sri Lanka, SAARC countries and New York, via New Delhi.
“We are offering Delhi hub for selling in this market where passengers can travel from Gulf to South East Asia, Kathmandu, Sri Lanka, SAARC countries and West bound New York via India,” said Abhay Pathak, Regional Manager - Gulf, Middle East and Africa, Air India.
He said the airline is also exploring possibility of offering tailor-made packages to address customers' needs, adding that, a new state-of-the-art fleet is already being put together. Pathak also noted that the airline continues to connect difficult destinations such as Kabul.
