The Kovalam beach also known as the ' paradise of the south', is lined with palm trees, where you can enjoy a backwater cruise. This beautiful countryside of Kerala has lovely country boats and lush greenery. At Kovalam, the clear blue sky and the blue waters combine together to create an everlasting impression of nature. Kovalam includes three adjacent crescent beaches. The southernmost one is the Light House Beach which is marked by an outstanding red-and-white striped lighthouse and is the most popular of the three. The middle beach is called Hawah. Each morning this beach serves as a base for the local fisherman. The northern most beach, Samudra, is the most untouched by the changing times. A 15-minute walk separates the two beaches.
Kovalam, a natural bay is perfect for kayaking, swimming, surfing and skiing. Swimming in the shallow blue water and a sunbath in the exotic tropical sun will not only provide you a good suntan but it will also revive you.
